Description
Whether you are :
- a professional trying to balance work and personal life,
- in a life transition needing clarity and support,
- or feeling a bit lost after recently moving to Sweden…
You’re in the right place.
I’m Ruth Manou, a certified Life Coach (PCC, ICF) based in Stockholm. I help clients reduce stress, navigate tricky emotions, reconnect with what truly matters, and build a life aligned with their values.
I offer individual coaching, thematic programs, and group workshops to help you regain clarity and calm; so you can thrive, not just get by.
What inspired you to start this business?
Seven years ago, I was an executive in Paris, living a high-paced life that looked perfect on paper; but I wasn’t happy. Work felt meaningless, family life exhausting, and I barely recognized myself. I was suffocating under the weight of expectations.Following a little inner voice, I quit my job, studied psychology remotely, and moved my family to Ireland.. But changing circumstances didn’t fix the doubts, frustration, and sadness I carried.
I started exploring my inner world (my emotions, intuition, and thoughts) and healed deeper wounds from childhood. This process awakened a power within me I hadn’t fully seen before.
Now, I focus on the journey, not a happy ending. I help my clients reclaim their inner power, navigate transitions, and craft a life that truly reflects who they are.
What challenges did you face starting a business abroad?
One of the biggest challenges is creating a network of people and specifically, of fellow entrepreneurs. Word of mouth is a big thing for my line of work so without a local network, things can take a while to take off.The second one is the admin side of things. Starting and registering a company in due form, handling taxes in a new country definitely takes a toll. And it helps to have contacts to run things by or exchange ideas.
What advice would you give to other wanting to start a business?
Don’t wait for the “perfect moment” or all the answers. Start small, trust yourself, and be ready to learn as you go.The process will teach you more than any plan ever could.
Oh and find your people. Nothing beats human to human connection.
